► About DFRX ◄
DFRX is the natural “Reaction” to Dallas fusion’s successful monthly event, D-Fusion Dance. Our mission is to inspire and invigorate fusion dance in Dallas. Our vision is a weekend of classes, social dancing, games, and other fun surprises! There will be no dance competitions, performances, or auditions.
DFRX is 100% volunteer staffed and organized!
➡️ The Classes:
We will have 16 classes on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Classes will have two tiers: all-levels and experience preferred. Classes are mostly on partner dance, with some solo dance. Each class is 60 minutes of instruction followed by 30 minutes of open or guided practice, as determined by the instructor. Topics and class descriptions are TBA. Private lessons available by reservation.
➡️ The Socials:
We will have over 30 hours of social dancing Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights AND Saturday/ Sunday afternoons! Afternoon socials will run in a separate room, concurrently during class times. The main room during evening socials will be fusion all weekend. Friday and Saturday nights will have a side room for traditional/ genre-specific sets (such as blues, kizomba, latin etc). Side room themes TBA.
➡️ Dance Games:
Before each evening social, we’ll play dance games! Imagine ice breakers, light hearted get-to-know-you games, group games, and a lot of moving around—with an emphasis on partner dancing.
